Apple has reported record revenue of $114.5 billion for its fiscal fourth quarter, the highest it has ever posted for a September quarter. The results are the first under new CEO John Ternus, and every major region except Japan grew.
The Cupertino, California-based company released its results for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026 in a press release and a Form 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The leadership change is the headline: this is the first quarterly report John Ternus has presented as CEO.
For U.S. customers, one number stands out: Services revenue – which covers subscriptions such as Apple Music and iCloud+ as well as App Store sales – reached a record high. An individual Apple Music plan in the U.S. currently costs $11.99 a month.

Gross margin was 47.9 percent, about one percentage point of which Apple attributes to tariff refunds. The board declared a quarterly dividend of $0.27 per share, payable on November 16, 2026, to shareholders of record as of November 12.
“Today, Apple is proud to report a September quarter revenue record of $114.5 billion, up 12 percent from a year ago.”

The leadership change: Ternus succeeds Cook after 15 years
Apple announced the transition on April 20, 2026, in a separate press release: Tim Cook, CEO since 2011, became executive chairman of the board on September 1, 2026, focusing mainly on government relations. John Ternus, previously senior vice president of Hardware Engineering, became CEO.
According to Apple, the board approved the move unanimously as the result of a long-term succession process. Arthur Levinson, who had chaired the board for 15 years, became lead independent director. The quarter just reported is the first full set of results for which Ternus is responsible as CEO.
Americas and Europe: where Apple grew
Apple’s Americas segment – North and South America, with the U.S. as by far the largest market – grew 10 percent to $48.7 billion. Europe grew 12 percent to $32.0 billion and Greater China 21 percent to $17.5 billion, while Japan slipped slightly to $6.5 billion. Apple does not report U.S. revenue separately in its quarterly release.
Apple gives no specific reason for the regional growth. Looking ahead to the holiday quarter, Ternus pointed to the “all-new Siri AI” as part of the lineup – a sign the company is counting on new AI features to keep sales growing.
Services record: what U.S. customers pay
Apple’s Services business includes Apple Music, iCloud+, Apple TV, Apple Arcade, AppleCare and App Store revenue. Apple does not publish Services revenue by country. These are the current U.S. prices, checked on apple.com on November 7, 2026 (prices before sales tax):
| Plan | Price per month |
|---|---|
| Apple Music Individual | $11.99 |
| Apple Music Family (you plus up to five people via Family Sharing) | $19.99 |
| Apple Music Student (verified college students) | $6.99 |
Source: Apple (U.S. prices), accessed November 7, 2026. Prices exclude sales tax; new subscribers get the first month free.
For iCloud+, Apple’s storage subscription, Apple’s current U.S. price list (November 7, 2026) shows $0.99 a month for 50 GB, $2.99 for 200 GB, $9.99 for 2 TB, $29.99 for 6 TB and $59.99 for 12 TB, before sales tax.
How much price changes contribute to the global Services record cannot be read from the company-wide figures – Apple does not break down revenue by individual service or country.
Practical checklist for Apple subscriptions in the U.S.
- Review your subscriptions on your iPhone: Settings, your name, then “Subscriptions.”
- If you use several Apple services, compare the Apple One bundle with the individual prices.
- Use Family Sharing to lower the cost per person, for example with Apple Music Family.
- College students can check the $6.99 Apple Music student plan with verification.
- Cancel unused subscriptions before the next billing date, not after.
These points are not personalized advice, but they offer a starting point as subscription costs add up.
