Google the octopus: With Google Compare conquering the world of insurance

Google Compare is what the Google corporation uses in Great Britain today to be the big power in economy: offering anything from car insurance to travel insurance to credit cards, Google is making money left, right and centre. However, competitors accuse Google of major distortion of competition.
Google is becoming more and more of an octopus. Several sources report that US market-listed Google Inc. has increased its efforts to enter the international billion Dollar market of insurance brokerage. Google has named its new project Google Compare which has been running as a pilot project in Great Britain since 2012. The corporation is now preparing to roll out Google Compare on the world stage. Lobbyausgaben Apple und Google: 17 Mio. für Washington

Apple & Co versuchen durch Lobbying Politik in ihrem Sinne zu gestalten.
Je stärker der staatliche Regulierungsdruck auf US-Konzerne wie die Google Inc. oder Apple Inc. ist, auch von Seiten der Europäischen Union (EU), desto stärker fließen Lobby-Ausgaben der Megakonzerne nach Washington. Alleine Google und Apple sollen 2014 fast 17 Millionen Dollar nach Washington gepumpt haben. Wie hoch die Ausgaben in der EU-Zentrale in Brüssel sind oder auch in Berlin, darüber gibt es keine Angaben. Grund: Weder die EU-Behörden noch die deutsche Bundesregierung unternehmen
