IT Google I/O 2015 Entwicklerkonferenz: Android Auto, Android TV oder ARA?

Spannend dürften in diesem Jahr Details sein, wie sich die Google Inc. die weitere Marschroute für Google Android vorstellt. So steht Google Android TV in den Startlöchern, auch forciert Google seit Wochen über seinen Monopol-App-Store Google Play weitere Google-Produkte.

io2015 wird spannend.

Auf der Entwicklerkonferenz I / O 2015 von Google treffen sich am 28. und 29. Mai im Moscone West Convention Center in San Francisco Entwickler, Ingenieure und sonstige IT-Experten, um neueste Trends im Internet und rund um Google-Produkte zu diskutieren.

Im Zentrum des Interesses steht bei vielen zudem das Projekt ARA. Es soll möglicherweise noch in diesem Jahr im US-Bundesstaat Puerto Rico beginnen. Mit ARA versucht die Google Inc. die freie Entwicklerszene dafür zu begeistern, sich am Bau offener Hardware zu beteiligen, welche modularer Smartphones unterstützen.

Doch noch ist Ara nicht sonderlich bekannt. Als Ara bezeichnet Google ein Forschungsprojekt rund um sein mobiles Computer-Betriebsystem Google Android. So schreibt Google:

"Das Projekt Ara ist ein Entwicklungsprojekt, um ein modulares Hardware-Ökosystem zu schaffen. Dabei sollen rivalisierende mobile Apps schnell innovativ weiterentwickelt werden. Das Ziel: Smartphones sollen das mobile Internet zu den nächsten 5 Milliarden Menschen bringen. Anders ausgedrückt soll das Projekt Ara Benutzern ermöglichen, ein modulares Smartphone zu besitzen, welches genau auf die funktionalen und ästhetischen Präferenzen des jeweiligen Nutzers zugeschnitten ist."

Google Fernsehen Android TV kommt

Ebenfalls von großem Interesse auf der Google Entwicklerkonferenz 2015, der / O 2015, ist die Weiterentwicklung des selbstständig fahrenden Google Autos, des Google Car. Hier gehen Fachleute davon aus, dass es sich letztlich um ein Android Auto handelt. Dies bedeutet: Das Betriebssystem des Google Autos dürfte wesentliche Elemente des mobilen Google Betriebssystems Android aufweisen.

Ein weiterer Punkt auf der diesjährigen Google Entwicklerkonferenz dürfte Googles großes TV-Projekt, Google Android TV sein. Hier erhoffen sich viele weitere Erkenntnisse, welche Geräte in der Lage sein werden, künftig eben nicht nur RTL, ARD, Pro7, Sat1, Kabel1, ZDF oder CNN zu präsentieren, sondern auch simpel YouTube und andere von Android TV dargestellte Inhalte. Es könnte schon in einigen Jahren einen TV-Sender geben, der allgemein als Android TV bekannt ist - dies wäre dann das Google Fernsehen.

Auch wenn sich bislang die digitale Spionage-Brille, die Google Brille, bekannt als Google Glass, nicht wirklich durchsetzen konnte, so steht doch Glass 2.0 in den Startlöchern. Selbst von Glass 3.0 ist schon die Rede. Welche Veränderungen das datenschutzrechtlich umstrittene Produkte aus dem Hause Google erfahren könnte, ist nicht klar. Bekannt ist aber, dass nochmals am klobigen Design der Kamera- und Internet-Brille gearbeitet wird.

Folgende Bereiche werden neben Android oder dem Google Car unter anderem auf der IO 2015 Thema sein: Nutzer-Zuwachs, Design, Umsatz steigern, Spiele (Games), Google Chrome, TV & Living Room, Tools & APIs oder die Internet-Suche.
